SUMMARY

Even when a Text Input Widget has the 'Validation' set as required, the validation error message does not show in the simulation.
 

RESOLUTION

A new feature in version 8.11 allows users to submit data on a page, without using a form. This means that you can add form widgets on the page, and you no longer need to make sure they are contained within a form. However, if you are going to use the validation on a text input widget, you will still need to wrap this widget in a form, and then submit the data.
 
 Please contact support if you have the validation configured correctly and the widget in a form, but are still having issues.
