Embed a live Google chart in iRise
Create interactive charts and graphs in Google Sheets and embed them directly in iRise screens

Step 1: Create a chart in a Google spreadsheet

  1. Open a spreadsheet in Google Sheets.

  2. Select the cells with data you want to include in your chart. Note: To make labels on your chart, add a header row or column to your data.

  3. Click InsertChart.

  4. In the Recommendations tab, choose a chart style. For more options, click Chart types.

  5. To edit your chart, click Customization.

  6. To create the chart, click Insert.

Tip: if you want to reduce the amount of whitespace around the chart:

  1. Click your chart.

  2. In the top right of the chart, click the Down 🔽 arrow and Advanced Edit

  3. Check the box for Maximize 

Step 2: Publish the Google chart

Publish your chart to embed it into iRise:

  1. Open the spreadsheet in Google Sheets.

  2. Resize the chart to the size you'll need in iRise

  3. Click your chart.

  4. In the top right of the chart, click the Down 🔽 arrow and Publish chart.

  5. In the dialog, click on Embed

  6. Then click Publish.

  7. Copy the iframe HTML code displayed.

Step 3: Paste Google chart code into iRise

To embed a published Google chart into iRise:

  1. Copy the iframe HTML code from your Google Sheets chart.

  2. Add a Section container to your screen

  3. Resize the container to match the size of the chart

  4. Select the Section and click Settings

  5. Paste the HTML code into the Insert HTML field.
