The error, 'Oops! Something went wrong error' only occurs when adding the Google Map iBloc is added to a local Studio project. 

The current way around this issue is to move your project from Studio, to Definition Center.  You can then continue to work in Studio, or you can also work in Editor.

Connect Studio to Definition Center, (from the File>Organizer menu), and then select your project and check in.
